Congratulations!! Your baby has arrived. No matter what your birth experience, some breastfeeding mom's need a little bit of help boosting their milk supply. A drop in milk production can happen at any point in your breastfeeding journey. It can be discouraging and frustrating when your milk supply isn't meeting the demands of your baby. I understand that frustration. I never produced a surplus of milk.
If you have had baby's latch checked and your supply still seems lower than expected, I gotcha. There are things you can do to help boost your supply. I would recommend doing several of these.

nurse more frequently
pump after nursing
eat lactation cookies
rest
hydrate (be sure to add electrolytes)
check medications (antihistamines, decongestants, birth control and some antidepressants can decrease milk production)
There are snacks and drinks that can help you to boost breastmilk production. Some things that moms I know have said worked for them: oatmeal, BodyArmor drinks, Chic-Fil-A cookies (they contain oatmeal), whole foods, and Mother's Milk tea are a few things.
Avoid fast foods and highly processed foods.
These herbs are known to be galactagogues and can be made into a tea: Ginger Root, Fenugreek, Milk Thistle, Shatavari, Lemon Verbena, Fennel, Blessed Thistle, Marshmallow. They are commonly found in tea blends for supporting breastmilk production.
Make a Mother's Milk Oat Milk Latte and get the benefits of herbs and oats.
Ingredients
4 Traditional Medicinals Organic Mother’s Milk tea bags
1 cup boiled water
1/2 cup oat milk
1 tsp honey
1/2 tsp cardamom – reserve a sprinkle for garnish
Directions
Place tea bags into a mug, adding in the boiling water. Cover with a lid or tea buddy, and steep for 10 minutes.
After steeping, remove tea bags and gently squeeze to extract the remaining tea.
Pour the oat milk into a small saucepan and gently simmer.
Add honey and cardamom to the tea concentrate. Whisk together.
Using either a blender or a milk frother, blend warmed milk and pour over the tea concentrate.
Sprinkle a small amount of cardamom over the top and enjoy!

Here is a recipe for no-bake lactation bites. Make them ahead, store them in the freezer and thaw a few for snaking while nursing your baby.

What have you done to boost your milk production? Are you an over producer or a just enough milk momma?
